    1. Lainie, thank you so much for bringing that poem back to me! It’s been a long time, and I’m so happy to have it back in “working memory.” I’m going to read it and smile about it all day–Thank you!

    1. A weekly mango is a habit I’m definitely considering! Thank you for your comments, and I hope you are having a wonderful NPM as well. I appreciated your post as well, today, on what is a vivid “watercolor morning” here in north Alabama!

  1. Oh my, I love the weekly mango. I’m not sure who said that a mango should be eaten in the bathtub, but that has always been my experience, too. Ruth, in Haiti where we have the best mangoes in the whole world, not that I’m biased or anything, thereisnosuchthingasagodforsakentown.blogspot.com

  2. I just finished a new middle-grade book that included a thread about mangoes, and when we visit Florida, in addition to the sea, a daily pleasure is pulling fresh mangoes off the tree. We eat them on the beach, washing there, fighting off the gulls! I love your voice showing imagination running wild with one shared pic. That may be what’s happening today with our tech togetherness!

    1. Linda, when I was in the military I spent some time in Hawaii. Fresh fruit right off the tree was such a treat! I think you might be right about today’s “tech togetherness” helping imaginations run wild. Thanks for your comments!

  3. I was so tempted by the mangos at the market, but resisted. They seem so precious. Like gold. I hear a bit of snark in your poem. Is it intended or just my perception?

    1. Margaret, it’s funny that you mention snark. It wasn’t intended, but after I was able to let that one stew for a few days I sort of heard it too. That’s neat that you picked up on it too–maybe I’m not crazy!
